Hello Dan,

It is only B that is mechanical. The OM-2/2n is for most purposes just
a paper-weight without the batteries. This has not been a problem for
me during the past 14 years with an OM-2n, the battey drain is quite
reasonable.

I have a correction to Steven's description: It is only the mirror
that stays up, when there is no battery in the camera. The shutter
does not open in that situation.

Regards
Lars
