I would buy a reissued OM2 with spot metering and a quick metal shutter in
the 5 to 7 hd dollar range.

Yes, but only if built on a Oly type metal body and designed to utilize
existing lenses.

auto-focusing device. Any other changes would be updating existing features
and would not require more size.
