I am a left-handed handgunner--but I am right-eyed! This worked well
when shooting a rifle, which I have always done right-handed, but when I
took up revolvers, I had to change eyes. Otherwise, the heavy recoil would
have got a sideways component, giving rise to a lateral error (contrary to
a common superstition, most of the recoil of a gun---especially one with a
heavy bullet---comes before the projectile leaves the barrel). A notably
piratical patch over my right eye did it. I had to wear it only for relatively
few training sessions. 'Wrongeyedness' then is much easier to remedy than
'wronghandedness'. The recipe is not patented ...
