The OM-4 already gives you "a good solid system to explore directions".
Consider using what you have as exploratory tools until you can define your
direction better. While not the very finest optics, the Vivitar and Tamron
will give you good service while you learn more about your equipment, your
methods and - most importantly - yourself. Good lenses are not cheap and
cheap lenses aren't good. Spend the time, energy and film to learn what you
really want to photograph, then select the best optics for that purpose.
Then explore more. When you have the choice and can afford it, always buy
the faster version. Unless you can afford to buy willy-nilly, I'd suggest
you focus carefully.

There's not a single dog in the Zuiko line-up. All serve their purpose
admirably. I do use a T*k*n* 300mm f2.8 APO for motorsports events and love
it. I could never begin to afford the Zuiko counterpart and it serves my
purposes well. My most favorite Zuiko is the 35-80mm f2.8 zoom. It lives
on my OM-4T all the time.
