I never recommend home fixes cus then it might cost you 80 pounds to get it
fixed.  If you are a tech, then you may be okay.
You'll have to remove the floor of the mirror bix.  The front peice is held
in with a 1.4mm screw.  Youll need an offset screwdrive to get the screw
out.  The main part of the floor is glued in and has one wire soldered to a
tab near the front.  This is the part where some people use a screwdriver to
pop the floor up and end up cracking the circuit, tearing the magnet winding
etc.
You'll have to clean the magnet and gold plated trigger switch (left,
front)  with a good
degreaser.  There could be about 10 things causing lockup.  Check your
batteries first.  Using alkaline or lithium cells in cold waether can be the
start of your problems.
