Well, I'm afraid that my 3.5-4.5 did the same when testing it with grid
paper at close focus. Though it seems as if this distortion was limited
to the 'extreme' wide angle setting. At perhaps 40mm it's allright and
there seems to be no noticeable pincushion distortion at the 75mm-end.
Nevertheless, due to being so compact and lightweight I use and enjoy it
a lot. IMO it's the right lens to have mounted while walking the streets
and wanting to be prepared for a quick reaction to 'the unexpected'.
