John will have to explain why. I think he said it was a compromise required
because of spot metering. I know the OM-4 will indicate insufficient
exposure on macro shots several stops before the OM-2N does. I was trying to
use mine at f/22 one day, and I had to go to f/11 at least before it was
satisfied. I knew a less powerful flash on a Maxxum had power to spare under
the same conditions at f/22. Sure enough, I switched to my OM-2N and all was
well at f/22. The OM-2N would probably have worked at f/32. Anyway, my OM-4
would indicate not enough light when the flash had several stops to spare.
This was not a compromise I was willing to take so the OM-4 went.
