Of course it does, my point is that most people don't bother, so we
could avoid the problem completely by not automatically adding it to
their posts.  All that is needed is for it to be there once at the start
of the digest, perhaps again at the end!

As with all media, excessive mundane information reduces the value of
the meaningful information carried.
