I'm glad.  The IS-1 is has almost unusable autofocus (especially mine did).

I have some 11x17 prints from the IS-1 that proved that the lens was
excellent.  I agree with you that the lens isn't quite as good as the zuiko
primes.  I *think* it has to do primarily with contrast though.  The lens
was sharper wide open than some of my primes are at the same f-stop.

It might not be a Nikon, but it is as close to an N90 that we are going to
get with Olympus.  With a 180mm top end, I'd say this camera is almost
perfect for my 90% work too.  We'll see.  If I can get one in time, I plan
on using it for a wedding I'm shooting in two weeks.  Don't worry, I'll put
it through its paces first, and it won't be the only camera I use for the
vital stuff.

Now on a search for the perfect IS-3DLX...
