Bonington started with Nikon F (up to the base camp) and Leica M cameras
(for climbing), with introducing of the OM series, Bonington dumped the
former ones and used only OM-1 with 28mm and 75-150mm Zuikos. He used
the OM-1 first in 1974 on his expedition to the Changabang sumit in the
Himalaya.

They don´t have to carry ther equipment on her own shoulders.
