For anyone considering such a trade beware. Nikon F cameras go back to
1959 or so.Fine machines but roughly speaking the F's went out of
production about the same time the OM-1's were introduced. The removable
back is a pain in the a** when it is time to change film on an old F.The
electronic part that goes out in the FTn (meter) finder has not been
available for years.I might be wrong but my guess is that an OM-1 is
worth more today than a Nikon F in similar condition. The Nikon F with a
standard prism does not have a built in meter. There are some other early
prism meters for Nikon F's that might be collectable but I doubt they
work well after all these years.
