Mine's AI, is black nosed. I hope nobody thinks I was comparing
the 24/2.8 Zuiko vs. the old Nikkor! I just like them both, and they're
both 'old' lenses [I also love some of the old RF Canon optics, and
my 35/3.5 Summaron!].

That's one of the things I like about mine.

BINGO! That's exactly it, Marco. I like that "look" in my personal
work. Many old lenses have very specific "looks". This one happens to
coincide well with my color work. It has a "creamyness" that allows color
to come to the fore (as opposed to line & texture), with just the right
amount of sharpness.
