It would be quite a trick to actually "see" this on an OM-2S. If you can see
the meter, your head should be doing a pretty good job of blocking the
viewfinder. This usually presents a problem on autoexposure cameras that
don't have the OM-2S's OTF ambient autoexposure. That is why such models
usually come with a cap or have a built in shutter to close the viewfinder.
At least one manufacturer attaches one to the strap that comes with the
camera. A few cameras do have a manual TTL meter that can be read without
looking through the viewfinder, and this would be a problem with them. The
Nikon F is one example, and it did not come with a cap.
