Modern Photography said that Marty also converted a lot of Yashica mirror
lenses, following a comparison test Modern ran. I don't remember whether it
was screw or K-mount (I thought the early Yashica models followed the Pentax
mount strategy ?).

In general, mirror lenses are much easier, since there is no diaphragm
automation to deal with. Also, many mirror lenses (and other long lenses)
are designed to focus beyond infinity, to allow correction for temperature
variations (on the assumption that mirror lenses appeal primarily to outdoor
photographers ?) - which eases some of the flange depth restrictions.

Marty also made some money (again according to Modern Photography)
converting Pentax right-angle finders to fit OM eyepieces, supposedly a
superior alternative to the Olympus vari-magni finder.

A customer of mine had a Minolta mirror lens on an Olympus mount.
It was done
for him by Marty Forscher in NYC.
