I do have one of those adapters too. It is a monocular rather than a
binocular adapter! But of course you can take two, and a pair of
300/f4.5's and try to hold them, in parallel positions ;-)

The lettering on the thing reads: Dia Stone PATP 54038748 OP Telephoto
Lens adapter.
I have seen the same gadgets in different mounts as well, and also
with different brands imprinted. They all consit of nothing more than
a cheap eyepiece (slightly better than the one used as camera viewer)
and a double prism (I think).
I paid the equivalent of $15 for it, used but like new and boxed.
I regularly see them in shops here, new, for about $25-30. I think
that is too expensive.
I must add that I am not impressed by the quality. The angle of view
is _very_ small and you need at least F4 for aperture to have the
light for seeing anything...
Cheap real binocular or monocular field glasses are always better,
IMHO. But for emergency, or when traveling really light, it might
prove useful.
