The new Ektachromes (E100S and E100SW) are far removed from their old
cousins. The 'S' version ('S'aturated) is claimed to produce realitic
yet saturated colors, ala Velvia. I prefer the 'SW', (Saturated, Warm)
(especially for outdoor scenics) which is sorta like having an 81B built
into the film. They are quite sharp (using 'T-grains' like the T-Max B&W
films. They're definitely competitive to Fuji and worth a try.
