Hi John and Patrick:

John says: << I think the 50mm macro with a 25 mm auto-extension tube would do
the trick very nicely. You may consider the whole set (7mm, 14mm and 25mm) of
tubes for versatility. Light weight, hand holdable and delivers fine images.

Theoretically, changing focus on the 50 mm macros when using auto tubes would
result in the Close Up Aberration Correction system to not compensate
correctly. To get maximum optical performance, rack out the focus on the lens
to the max, then use the tube and stick to the resulting magnification ratio.

It is worth noting that 1:1 is beyond the design limits of the 50 mm macros,
so they won't provide optimal performance at that magnification range. But
what is acceptable optical performance is obviously in the hands and mind of
the user.
