Hi Joel and Paul:

Yikes, I sure do get feedback when I say I want to avoid buying a used OM body
that lacks a source for a NEW replacement circuit board. Sure, a replacement
from a carcass is an option, provided the shop has a carcass or knows of the
source of one. I guess I am saying thanks but no thanks to the option of a
replacement using used electronic parts. Or rather, if that is what it takes
to keep my present equipment going, so be it. But to buy used equipment and
then have to rely on this as the only option for future repair? Not for me.
I've been that route in computers. I prefer a bit more shelf life (i.e.,
availability of parts) in a purchase. That is probably my #1 worry about
remaining in the OM family: will my equipment be able to be fixed? It WILL
need it because it always has. Just ask OLY repair in Rolling Meadows, IL if
they know me!
