It was the 50 mm f/3.5 macro.  Keep in mind that I was using the OM-1 as a
microfilming camera hanging upside down on an inverted tripod.  (I was
photographing maps and aerial photos).  I ran many hundreds of 36 exposure
rolls through this setup.  After that broke, I got the Winder 2 and a foot
switch to activate the replacement.  Ignorance of the simple and labor saving
solution caused the problem in the first place.
