Great info, nice to hear from an experienced user of macro flash. The
one flash you didn't really expound on is the T-8. I recently picked up
a used one of these with a T-1 in like-new condition. Haven't had a
chance to use it yet, though. I have a few ?s, if you have time:
1) I want to mainly photograph jewelry, coins etc with the T-8 (using
either my 50 F/2 or 90 F/2). How is it suited for this application? I
figure I'll see a ring reflection in polished silver jewelry? Have you
done this? Is the reflection too distracting?
2) Also may want to try it in the field with plants, insects etc. Any
comments on this app?
3) I see the T-1 has a control for manual or auto flash (with OM-2) I
assume the OM-2 auto mode will function properly with the 4T on auto?
Anything to be careful of here?
4) Do you have the Oly battery pack for the modeling lamps, or did you
roll-your-own, as I'll probably try to do?
