I'm that fellow! It was beautiful in Yosemite. Fresh snow on the ground Sat
morning. (it was a white-out driving in there Fri nite. 25 mph seemed fast.)
Had some really incredible light for a few hours Sat (8-11 AM or so) Everywhere
you
turned was a (quickly changing) photo opportunity. Some truly fantastic photos
got
away before I could set up. But I think i nailed a few others to make up. The
rest
of Sat turned into a snowy whiteout - until about 1 hour before sunset, when
some
light broke through again. Sun was a whole 'nother day, with blue skies in AM,
then
snowing again later.
(Non-OM) I was shooting mostly 4x5 B&W, and some E100SW when color popped up.
But, I also had and OM body loaded with B&W Infrared and another loaded with
Ektachrome Infrared. Ever wondered what a snowy El Capitan looks like in the
color
Infrared spectrum through a Zuiko 16mm Fisheye? I'll know this afternoon when I
pick
up the film!
Thanks for the camera store updates. If I'm ever in Santa Rosa, I'll stop by.
