Just start looking over the lens test that LeeH. is putting up at:
http://www.astro.wellesley.edu/lhawkins/photo/photo.shtml
and you should get an idea of what lenses you might want based on cost.

It used to be that OLY offered one of the best cost/performance ratios in a
professional level system.  That is questionable with the current prices.

The 100 f/2.8 Zuiko is a real good portrait lens.  At wide angle, you will
likely want to jump all the way to 24 mm.  You can fill the gap with a 28 mm
at a later date if you feel it really is a gap.
