That's what (multi)spotmetering is all about - locking EV(s) (Exposure
Value(s)). When you want multiple shots with the same EV you use the
memo button. Both work in Auto and in Manual mode. Spotmetering uses
the 2entre, centre-weight uses the complete area, with some emphasis
on the centre.
