I haven't done exactly that.  But I have used a 50 F/1.8 alone on a reversing
ring and got some, IMO, great results.  Garth has my submission for the Olympus
gallery and there are a couple of flower shots in there I did this way.  I think
they'll be up there in a week or so if you want to check 'em out.
