Thanks for the comments, everyone. I have gone ahead and ordered the 85/2. I
want to try more short telephoto scenics when backpacking along the coast, and
the Vivitar 90mm is too much for these old bones to carry. If I decide the
light weight and compactness is not enough to justify the lens, I can always
resell the 85 without much loss because I'm buying at a good price.
