Dear Olympians,

after I got used to the view of the voluptuous forms of an blonde supermodel
with slim waist in an window of our city (no I´m not living in Amsterdam
and I´m talking of the 180mm/2.0 Zuiko) another threat to my finacial
(mental?) health apeared, an 50mm/2.0 MACRO Zuiko.

My first impression on sight was, what a fat piece. But after I had it
in my hand, I noticed the relative low weight it has (as often, a
relative small size let voluptuous forms look fat). Focusing was
exeptional smooth, due to the big focusing ring and perfect mechanics,
comparable to the 100mm/2.0 Zuiko. Actualy the focusing was better then
the 50mm/3.5 MACRO Zuiko I own. It was posible to use the bright lens
with the split image and microprism focusing aid, even at 1:2.
The general appearance on an OM body was, a little bit big for an body
without addons.

The asking price for this lens, in good condition with only minimal
brassing, is 850,- DM ~ US$ 480. Is this price ok?
I already own an 50mm/3.5 MACRO Zuiko in nearly perfect mint condition
which I use for slide copying and general photography. The 50mm/2.0
MACRO Zuiko is definitly more complicated to use for slide copying, any
experiances with it?
Should I trade in the 3.5 against the 2.0 (don´t I have other problems
<g>)?
Am I decadent?

Richard

ps Interested in my 50mm/3.5 MACRO Zuiko? More info on request by privat
e-mail.

pps I had to used the word voluptuous so often, because I was so lucky
to master the spelling, good that I don´t have to pronounce it correctly
here ;-)
