Current prices on the 50 mm f/3.5 are very low and the lens is widely
available used. While many US-based dealers are trying to sell it at $199 or
more, I think they are out of touch with the present market, in which $96-139
used 9 condition lenses are moving slowly. It doesn't seem like one would get
enough for this lens to justify trading it in. Perhaps lots of folks dumped
their 3.5 for a 2.0?
Personally, I'd like to have both, but I sold my f/3.5 years ago.
