This is my most used lens. Several of my piccies on the Unofficial Olympus
Gallery are taken with this lens, most of them in backlit situations, though
none of them with the sun directly in the frame. The lens just doesn't cope
with that, I guess it's backlit performance is so-so. Not bad, not the very
best either. Shading is greatly improved by using a hand when camera/lens is
on a tripod.

I don't agree at all that this lens is heavy. Consider it's fixed f/4
aperture and 730 grams, compare that to other brands plastic fantastics at
f/4-5.6 (one full stop's difference at the high end where it's really
needed) and their 450-500 grams I'd say the Zuiko is almost lightweight. And
it IS very sharp.
