If not, would there be some hybrid creature like a 62-55mm adapter ring? My

Hi Bill,
I think your question on the 62-55 adapter was answered. But I have another
suggestion for you. "Kirk" makes a pretty neat Macro Flash bracket for about
$60.00 so you can use your T32 out over the end of the lens as most Pros do.
I made my own by modifying a "Kirk" Nikon 80-200 Zoom QR plate #TM-3 I bought
(close-out) for $50. It has a plate I mounted (Screwed) to the bottom of my
65-116 auto tube and a 3 1/2 inch ring at the other end, out and around the
lens. On top of the ring I mounted a Kaiser flash swivel. This setup allows
you to rotate the camera for verticals without readjusting as you must do with
the flash bracket. I have been experimenting with a T280 flash for close up
work with this set up. So far, I am pleased with my flash mount.
