Marco, thanks for the compliment. I think the difference is
primarily generational. I've been using computers since 1975,
and have been on the internet since 1987 -- long before it
became commercial. Ten plus years of using e-mail, reading
and sometimes contributing to the various newsgroups, etc.
are plenty of time to learn "netiquitte" and to develop
decent online communication skills. In my posts, I try to
set a good example. By now, it's second nature to me.

PvT, OTOH, is my parents' generation. The mere fact that he
has the will and the courage to learn new things, and has
ventured to go online is something I have a lot of respect
for. My own parents are thus far computer illiterate, and
neither of them shows any interest in this new medium.

I must say that in person PvT is one of the nicest people to
do business with. Last week at a camera show in Dallas, TX,
he had removed three items I needed -- two tripod collars
and a battery cover -- from his own stock on his table, and
then sold them to me at a discount. In my book, PvT is a
class act -- even if he never masters the internet rules
and regulations.

Cheers,

/Gary Schloss.
