A report in the No.4 1995 issue of Olympus Pursuit (a company
newsletter, may be available from your local Olympus agent):

" .......

Olympus produces only 35mm cameras, and the 6X7 Hasselblad's macro
capabilities extend only to 2X magnification. So the key lay in
adapting high-precision Zuiko Macro lenses to a medium-format camera.
As he (Eugen F. Dehner, Olympus Europe's Adviser on Applied Scientific
Photography) studied the problem, he remembered that Olympus had
developed the Novoflex Shift Bellow Extension, but had never put it
into production. He sensed it would work - and extensive tests have
proved him right.

...... Recognizing an opportunity to develop its lens market, Olympus
Europe is working with Hasseblad to launch a completely new Macro
Photography System combining OM Macro lenses with medium-format
cameras. ....."

According to a recent issue, the macro system has been launched.
