Manual is full power flash or TTL controled by an TTL flash capable
camera (not the OM-10)
Auto is regulated flash output by an sensor inside the flash. To work
you have to set the filmspeed on the calculator panel, read the aperture
above the two Auto setings, choose one aperture, set the switch and the
aperture on the lens to this aperture and your ready to take flash
photos.

A second body is always good, but in the meantime you could mid roll
change the film. Note down the number of exposures you took. Rewind the
film but leave the film leader out of the cartridge. Expose the other
film, after that put the old film back in the camera. Make as much blank
exposures, with a body cap on and shortest exposure time, as you exposed
earlier plus two exposures for security.
