I haven't run this test yet, but still would like to ask BW et al: do your 
slides
show overexposure, or are the meter readings just different?  I guess there's
reason for concern if the slides are actually overexposed. As for the meter, I
think I'm repeating a post here, but the reading you get in auto when you press
the memo button is approximate, correct?  The actual shutter speed is determined
during exposure.  Seems to me the exposure should be fine. Indeed, most of my
photos with my 4T are taken in auto with Velvia (rated at ASA 50) with shutter
speeds of 1/60th or less and they're usually right on.
