Many pros seem to think Velvia should be rated at 40.  In my experience, FWIW, 
50
seems correct in my 4T.  But I always bracket +/- 1/3 to be sure.

My suggestion to you would be rate it at 40 and bracket +/- 1/3 which'll also 
give
you asa 32 and 50.  Then see what worked best for ya.
