The resolution of 35mm lenses, as measured in line pairs per millimetre, is
generally greater than their larger format counterparts for the same angle
of coverage. As stated, the gain in photo sharpness is due to the fact that
the larger film size requires far less enlargement to get the same print
size. I read an interesting article a while back about resolution. Look at
