Hi Claude:

< When I went back the greedy owner had upped the price to 289 dollars, I got
him to come back down but only to 200 dollars. >

You need to tell us the condition of the lens before we can intelligently
comment on whether it is a bargain or not. Personally, I'd stick to a
$<175-200 range, depending on condition. There are lots of 35 mm f/2.0
Zuiko's to choose from on the market.

< Also I have an old 135mm singlecoated zuiko with oil on the diaphragm
blades, is it worth fixing for 60 bucks, or should I look for a replacement?

Which 135? At typical market prices of $49-59 for a multicoated f/3.5
version, you would be wasting you money. It makes sense for the f/2.8

< My question is [the 35-105mm zoom] a genuine olympus lens, or is it
manufactured by a third party and tagged as an olympus? >

I wouldn't doubt that it was contracted out. Gary Schloss might follow-up
with more definitive info on this.

Regarding the 35-105, anything under $225 is probably a buy. If you don't
really need it, buy it and then resell it here :-) Or broker a deal with a
list member and take a commission.
