This is not a foregone conclusion. I have a Yashica ML 35-105/f3.5-4.5
zoom lens which is a spitting image of the 35-105 Zuiko in everything
but the lens mount, name ring, and the grip rubber pattern. Both lenses
differ considerably from the Tokina RMC 35-105/f3.5-4.3.

So, it's quite possible that Kyocera made the lens for Olympus, or maybe
Olympus designed the lens, someone else (Tokina?) manufactured it, and
Kyocera licensed the design from Olympus. Interestingly, both Olympus
and Yashica had AF systems that flopped, and both AF systems included
35-105mm zooms essentially identical to their non-AF counterparts.
Another intriguing point is the relatively high new price of the
Olympus 35-105 zooms (both MF and AF).

Cheers,
