  It is a wonderful lens. When I say I like its optical flavor, that means
I use it, and oddly enough, I like it most with slide film, too. I would
use it more if I wasn't so partial to the 24/2.8. 
   We (and the f/2 top ten thing illustrates this) tend to get too hung
up on sharpness, as if a trompe d'loil copy of Nature were some sort
of Holy Grail in photography.  Having lenses that foster one's vision is
far more important, IMO.  This would get me lynched in the Leica list,
but I remember Ernst Haas being interviewed, and he said that he used
Leica lenses, because, like the human eye, they weren't TOO sharp(!)...
