I have a map of Edinburgh, and I see a couple of churches next to or in the
area of West Prince Street Gardens. Do you
happen to recall that the cemetery was on the side of the gardens or on the
other side?

I was photographing this afternoon just outside of my house. I realized that
it was windy enough that the camera was
shaking on my Magic 2 tripod. I went inside the house to bring out my
almost-empty backpack as I quickly stuck my
OM2000 in for additional weight. I was able to steady the OM-4T. The Magic 2
is shaped in such a way that it is easy
to hang a weight on, and I have to remember hanging my backpack from the tripod
every time from now on.

As for my intended Loch Katrine trip, the Edinburgh tourist office finally got
an idea that I am really interested in
going there but not on any day of the week. They finally looked up a bus
schedule for me. It sounds like a local bus
going from Edinburgh to Callander to the Trossachs pier with a change of buses
at Callander. The bus schedule will give
me one hour for early lunch and two hours at Loch Katrine, one hour of which
will be taken up by a cruise on the lake.
This trip will take all day (from 9:30 in the morning to 6:15 in the evening).

If any of you have seen Loch Katrine, please write to me privately or the list.

Thanks, David, for your tips. Anybody else been to Scotland? Beside
Edinburgh, we (our choir) will be in Iona, Fort
William, the Isle of Skye, Inverness. Optional tours from Edinburgh include
Borders, Loch Earn and St. Fillans, St.
Andrew, and Linlithgow. I would have to miss a trip to Ayr since this is
scheduled on Wednesday when a friend of mine
and I are thinking about going to Loch Katrine. Wednesday will be our day off
from our singing duty during an Evensong
service, so we can arrive back in Edinburgh later in the afternoon.
