Ps, Ed, this is a great group of people here on this list with one thing in
common. That is, to learn and help others learn about our Olympus system. I
hope this is why you are on this list.

Buddy, that's why I'm a new subscriber. Maybe I should lurk a little longer
(though it's been a couple of weeks) before jumping in. But I own this
lens...It is a fantasic lens...and I guess it hurts a bit to have it
disparaged by people who really don't know. I'm looking at THE OM SYSTEM
LENS HANDBOOK, published 1984, and an OM System booklet, circe 1995. Both
show the 35-105 f3.5-4.5 in the Zuiko lineup. The lens looks like, shoots
like, handles like, a Zuiko. To speculate it is other than homegrown Olympus,
you must also cast doubts on all other Zuiko lenses. Without direct evidence,
this speculation is irresponsible. The only possible evidence is John's
comment about part numbers. And that did not reference third party suppliers,
it referenced a different prefix to the parts. Which may or may not have
anything to do with anything.
Hmmm, Is the new OM2000 an Olympus or a Cosina? I have a 100-500 Cosina in
the OM mount. Would that qualify as an Olympus?
Very Sceptically Yours
Ed
