There may be some space at the corners of the metal plate to slip the tip of a
single edge razor blade.  You can pop it up just enough to slip more of the
blade underneath.  Sorry, but some bending of the plate or mangling at a corner
is to be expected.  Straighten best as possible or use a new cover plate
(Unknown if available ((should be)).
