Stuart,

Sorry to hear about the way you were treated by R Gunz.

The chain store I meant was Camera House. There are a few of them in Sydney,
but I'm not sure about Melbourne ar anywhere else. Based not just on that
one experience, but my general impression of the chain, I wouldn't recommend
them. For anything. Ever.

Cheers

Andy

I have previously tried R.Gunz, unfortunately I found them to be very
unhelpful and rude on the phone. I was trying to source a screw for a
motor drive that I own, initially they said it was too old. Then I
pointed out that as far as I knew the motor drive 2's were still orderable.
They then came back and said that they might be able to find one that would
fit. It would cost $20. For that price I can get one custom machined....

I rang them for a quote on the OM 1, they offered to do it for around $165.
Since I only paid $130 for it I decided against them....

I ended up using a repair place in Melbourne called Precision camera, I
really hope they do a good job on it.....

By the way, which chain store are you referring to, would it be Photobee by
any chance?

Stuart
