I noticed this when I was actually trying to take some indoor pictures,
where the light was about 1/2s at f/2.8 with Kodachrome 64 loaded.

It's quite possible I did something wrong (though there doesnt seem to
be much to do with TTL flash), as I'm new to TTL flash, having just
purchased a T20 and T32 recently.

You're not testing without film in the camera are you? I did the 
same thing, and was worried about my 4T until I realized it was 
taking an OTF reading from the *black* pressure plate, which is of 
course much less reflective than film. ummm..  hmm.. I just 
realized what I was getting is the opposite of what you describe. 
So how were you testing this again?
