Olympians-
I thank you for your help, it seems that the first 'used F280' was in fact
defective. I returned it to KEH. They were very helpful and understanding.
B&H had one for about $125 - Just got it and it seems to work fine - I think.
(Sure wish I had F280 Manual-Olympus promised me 'fast service' - been over 2
months now).

Anyway, at and below f-sync flash works properly in TTL mode. Ready light
comes on in viewfinder and on F280, blinks when properly exposed, goes out and
states 'under exposed' when appropriat - so far I have the equivalant of about
a T20.

But in FP mode, no matter if set above or below f-sync, the flash fires and
the double lightning bold blinks - but the viewfinder always reads "under
exposed". Is this proper? This may be correct for 'fill flash' (note: I have
film in the camera so the reflectance should be correct.) My poor 'models'
(wife, Kate, and cat, Ben) are getting tired of being 'flashed to death'

Any guidance on this? Before both devorce me? Thanks.

Ken M.
