Just though I'd share some impressions of the film from the recent wedding I
did:

First, thanks to all who recommended GPX! I shot one roll of formals using
mostly my 85/2, and although lighting was awful (early evening sun) this film
handled the contrast admirably, and produced beatiful skin tones.
I then shot two rolls of PMC 400, mostly with a 35/2.8 and QA310 on bounce
grip. Again, I was very impressed with the colour fidelity of this film. In a
4x6 print, is appears nearly indentical to GPX. My local pro lab says some
wedding photographers use the PMC for all their shots, and I can see why.

Yesterday I picked up two rolls of Fuji Superia 400 from the same lab - quite
good colour, but no match for the GPX/PMC under similar conditions. Some macro
shots done with my new 26mm auto tube and various lenses show excellent
sharpness and colour saturation. I have noticed that Fuji 400 (and even Reala
to some extent) seem to have trouble producing deep pinks and oranges
faithfully, and the 400 sometimes does weird things to deep greens as well. I
don't thing this is a printing flaw - these were hand printed, and several are
portraits which show quite accurate skin tones, but the deep pink/orange is
way off.

I still have 2 rolls of PMZ 1000 to try, just waiting for the right time to use
it. I'm curious to see how this compares to Max 800.
