A pola back or digital back is a "must have" for professional
studio/portrait work, but how many studio professionals are using
Olympus? If both of them send a message to Newton Plastics, then
maybe...

A nice substitute for the rest of us might be Imagek's digital insert
EFS-1, if they ever succeed in producing it (for $1000 or less as they
"promise" for more than a year now at http://www.imagek.com - I'm
afraid it looks just as much vapour(hard)ware as the OM-5).

Even for amateurs like I am a pola back, digital back or digital insert
might be interesting to preview the shadow effect of complex multiple
flash setups, and situations with lots of contrast. I think $1000 is
just about the reasonable limit an amateur would be willing to pay for
such a gadget. Inserted in or attached to an OM body, with an array of
nice Zuikos, you get a lot of a digital camera for that money. :-)
Could almost make me forget the 5. Almost. :-(
