I have just seen and tried out my first iMac and must say I am
underwhelmed. It also looks frighteningly like an old 70's IBM monitor.
For those die-hard Mac users like me I recommend the new all-in-one G3
(available through educational programs) which has all the video in and
out you could want and all the old sockets and
plugs we came to like on the Mac (including a real 3 1/2 inch disk drive).
In analogy to Olympus the iMac is like putting a beefed-down OM4ti in an
old translucent Dresden Exacta body.

Like others I was hoping for the OM5 release this year. As time passes I
find myself more and more drooling over Leica M and R8 brochures - if only
their lenses weren't so expensive...and the R8 not so clunky...
Contax? Yes, IF the mechanical S2 will be updated with mirror lock,
winder, and with two metering modes (spot and integral). IMHO the S2
otherwise is the nicest of the Contax series.

Jan ;-)

P.S. Nice fall weekend ahead here in Vermont. I will be out there with my
OM4, winder and 300mm Novoflex to take pics of river otters. Wished I had
a 2.8/300mm Tamron with 1.4 converter. ANyone have an EX+ one for sale or
trade for Zuiko 2.8/180 and Zuiko 4/28-48 ???
