Hmm... AFAIK, fast super-telephoto zooms are a territory where none
of the major camera makers dared to tread. The only exception was
N*kon, which for a very short while produced a 200-400/f4 zoom --
an 8 lbs "gorilla" of a lens, with gazillions of ED glass elements
and with a price tag fit for an oil sheik. A camel was supplied with
the purchase -- a wise substitute for the customary carrying case :-).

Among the independents, Tokina is the only one with respectable and
semi-affordable offerings: the AT-X 100-300/f4 (MF version is now
discontinued), and the AT-X 150-500/f5.6. I have the former, and
it's an excellent value (also works great with the Oly 1.4X-A).

Cheers,
