I was quite suprised to see a very expensive two-page ad in the New York
Times Magazine today.
Both pages are on a blue background.The left page features a color photo of
a 30-something woman with tears on her face, and the work 'Benign' in large
letters.
The right side has the word 'Precisely' at the top and a photo of an
Olympus microscope at the bottom. In between is a plea for medical
checkups, website addresses of cancer organizations, etc. On the bottom is
the familiar Olympus logo but with the words 'focus on life' underneath.
There is an invitation to email at micro@xxxxxxxxxxx or to call 800-455-8236.
Obviously it is not an ad to sell microscopes, but an attempt to create a
warm feeling about Olympus.
Wonder what's next?
