Hi all,

All this talk of 3rd-party equivalences has got me thinking.

I've got a couple of 3rd-party OM-mount lenses labelled 'Promura',
which I got cheap at a camera store fire sale (they were new old stock,
by the looks of things).

One's a 24/2.8, which has served me well (and continues to do so).
I'm quite happy with the shots I get out of it (certainly, for the price,
it couldn't
be beat).

The other is a 35-135/3.4-4.5 (or thereabouts) zoom, which languishes
in my cupboard because of a badly placed screw on the mount which
does nasty things to my OM-4's reset button.

Both are MC and appear to be well-built. Vintage is some-time in the
early eighties. Both are labelled 'made in japan'.

Does anyone have any idea of the real manufacturer of these lenses?
or if it is 'promura', what sort of reputation they have.

(further, does anyone have any source for a cross-reference
of all those soligors/vivitars/tamrons which are actually the same lens?

I'll volounteer to correlate all this info if it's worth it).
